Norman will be playing free concerts every Wednesday in April at the lovely Laurelthirst in SE Portland. The best part is that we get to share the stage with some great friends: The Vicious Kisses, Hungry Birds, Evan Way, Old Light, and Kelly Blair Bauman!
See you on Wednesdays!

This is one of the busy weeks. Tomorrow night’s concert with Marcy Playground, The Parson Redheads, and Mark Twain Indians should be epic to say the least.
On Thursday I’m flying out to San Diego to stay with my dear Friend Joel West, and watch his band “The Tree Ring’ play The Casbah. While I’m there, I’ll be playing a concert put on by Sezio.org at Habitat House. Check it out.

See you soon, San Diego.
I’m really looking forward to the trip south. See you there.
Cheers – Eric
Writing for album 3. I feel like we’re getting somewhere, refining the songs.
I was checking my email this morning and it just so happened that I had a wonderful email arrive into my box from my friend Matthew. Follow his photography website: BENT MOVEMENT, where you can find creations from his travels and life, including some photos he took at our recent Portland, OR concert at Mississippi Studios. Thanks Matthew and Kristina.
Listening to the new Sufjan record….so much echo, and underwater sounds galore.

and time is in flow. Working on new songs and writing lyrics.
I had to do some upkeep on one of our moog synthesizers today and I ended up getting caught up in how much I love playing it. I recorded a multi-track soundscape of moog prodigy, a clock, and a street sweeper which happened to be bustling around the neighborhood. I’m listening to a lot of John Cage, Bill Callahan, and Harry Partch. All the organized studies I have at PSU have led me back to what I enjoy, and that’s the outlier musicians that pushed the limits of music and artistic expression. There is still so much to learn. Check this track out with headphones.
Enjoy.
